Cruises R Fun! - Reviews of Cruise Lines, Cruise Ships, Destinations, Ports And More!
Kathy was so impressed with the aerial photos of the cruise ship that she wanted to have a separate page for just these pictures. The Tempozan Ferris Wheel is one of the largest in the world, standing 112.5 meters above the ground.
The wheel is 100 meters in diameter. The passenger compartments hold eight people each and there are 60 of them. It takes the Ferris wheel 15 minutes to go around once. At this time it costs 700 yen per person for a ride.
The Ferris wheel has a system that displays tomorrow's weather forecast in beautiful illuminations. "Fair" is displayed in glistening red, "cloudy" in green, and "rain" in blue. Changes in the weather can be shown as well, For instance, beautiful twinkling stars in the base color of green represent "cloudy later fair".
Every half hour at night, splendid large fireworks are displayed in illuminations high in the sky. From the top of the wheel one can see from the Akashi Kaikyo Strait Bridge to the Kansai international airport.
We took pictures as we rose, as you can see from the pictures below.
