How lucky can we get? We arrived in Arhus Denmark just in time for the annual "Ships Ahoy" festival, The harbor was filled with tall ships and the whole town seemed to be celebrating. Great day for an excurison to see the sights.
We stopped at one ship that had two police officers stationed in front and a woman in a navel uniform standing at attention with a large sword at the bottom of the gangway.
We asked one of the police officers what was going on and he told us it was the Queen of Denmark's boat. We asked if she was aboard, and he told us she was shopping in town and would return shortly.
When the Queen returned we were ready and got some photos, and of the Prince as well.
We learned that the oldest ship in the harbor was 300 years old and the newest was the Oosterdam, which the local towns people were extremely interested in.
